WILL BRILL

BUSNESS MANAGER

Originally from a small town in rural Missouri, William’s path has been anything but typical. His first experience in the accounting industry came in 2017; Edward J. Rice Co. in Springfield, MO. It was there he began to learn the general practices and technical skills of accounting.

While working on his bachelor’s degree in Professional/Technical Writing, the experience of working at Edward J. Rice Co. taught him the essential principles of accounting on the job. In a sink or swim situation he flourished and found a new interest and talent in accounting. After moving to California in 2018 he continued working with the company until 2019 when he decided to move on to new opportunities that would challenge him in a completely new way.

Working as a bookkeeper alongside Business Manager’s and CPA’s at David Weise and Associates for three years he learned the in’s and out’s of accounting relating to business management. The time spent there taught him how to hone in to the fine details and nuances of accounting that he had not previously encountered. It was here that he found the joy of merging the love of music and artistry with the practical skill of accounting.

After the pandemic, William decided to look for new challenges in the business management world. In 2021 he joined TKG, where he found a new home amongst peers and alongside well-established business managers who helped foster and grow his talents.

Starting as a bookkeeper he diligently worked to understand all aspects of the music industry relating to business management. He was given the space and freedom to fully own and develop his talents as an accountant and team leader. After one year he was recognized as having a strong work ethic, leadership skills, and the dedication needed to move forward into an Account Manager position. Continuing to show his drive and ambition, one year later he was promoted to Business Manager, now overseeing 20+ clients and a staff of five.
